Ian has his studio at the base of Benbulben in Co. Sligo where he has won many awards for his ever experimental work in pottery.

 

Ian makes  ceramic vessels destined mainly for low temperature firing techniques. He uses raku glazes pushed to the edge and he revels in collaborations with forces that are never entirely under his control, such as fire, chemical reduction and environmental conditions.
